As adults, school staff have a tremendous amount of control over the physical environment in the classroom. Learn concrete strategies to make the most of this and create a welcoming classroom environment that is conducive to student learning and calm for all.
Behavior Management
Participants will have an opportunity to learn and practice effective behavior management strategies such as "catching" students doing well, token economy, and ensuring students have access to resources to meet their basic needs in the classroom. A heavy emphasis will be placed on prevention strategies.
